Canon Rebel T3i (aka Canon 600D)
Well, you may ask me, isn’t it that I am only recommending video camera in this site? why am I then recommending this DSLR camera? This is because I now believe that DSLR is slowing taking the key roles in video shooting today. Just play with the infamous Canon 5D mark II to Nikon D700 and several other well-known DSLR models that have included good video into their machine, you will not be surprised that Videographers are now flocking towards these cameras as the main workhorse instead of the good old camcorders.
I have been a Wedding videographer for a period of time though started out as a Photographer. When I own my first DSLR 4 years ago, I fell in love with it. Especially the Depth-of-field effect on photos, it truly brings out the beauty of the scene. However, when I switch to video, this Depth-of-field effect is generally lost due to limited sensor size. Yet, in these 2 years, DSLR video function is slowly closing up this gap, giving videographers the pleasure of Depth-of-field effect in their shots.

This is a great camera that comes with lot of options that help you shoot great photos and video. It is designed with ISO ranging from 100 to 6400 (expandable to 12800). This mean that you can shoot great footage even in low lighting condition and still achieve excellent low noise result
For the video function, this camera comes with improved EOS Full HD Movie mode. You can adjust the exposure manually during shoot, which gives you great flexibility when designing your movie shoot. Besides, this camera is equipped with the Movie Digital zoom function which may be rather handy at time.
One of the useful feature of this camera is the Vari-angle clear view LCD monitor. This camera’s monitor is dimensioned at 3.0 inch diagonal. The Vari-angle feature enables one to shoot at high or low angles which is really handy for certain composition or situation.
